A point is reflected over the y-axis to graph a new point. Are the x-coordinates of these points opposite of each other? Hewp!

Well let's say you have a coordinate (2, -1)

Now if we reflect it upon the y-axis we'll end up at the coordinate (2,1)

We see that the x value is still the same.
