Area of rectangle: 7 x 10 = 70 in2

Area of semicircle: (r^2*π)/2 = 3.5^2 * π /2 = 6.125*π

=> Total area = 70 + 6.125*π = 70 + approx 19.24 = approx. 89.24 in2

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The closest number here is 89 in2, so the answer is 89 in2.

Hello!

We can solve this by dividing the shape into a rectangle and a semicircle

To find the area of a rectangle you do l * w

7 * 10 = 70

Then we find the area of a semicircle

To do this we have to treat it like it is a full circle and divide that by 2

To find the area of a circle you do \pi r^{2}

the r is the radius which is half the diameter of the circle

so the radius is 3.5

We put this into a calculator and get 38.48

then we divide this by 2 to get 19.24

We add the area of the rectangle by the area of the semicircle

19.24 + 70 = 89.24

The answer is 89in^{2}

Hope this helps!

Rectangle ABCD has vertices A(–6, –2), B(–3, –2),
Tatiana [17]

Answer:

A. T–4, 3(x, y)

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that the transformation changes the rectangle ABCD to the rectangle A'B'C'D'.

The changes in the co-ordinates are given by,

A = (-6,-2) = (-6,-2) + (-4,3) = (-10,1)

B = (-3,-2) = (-3,-2) + (-4,3) = (-7,-1)

C = (-3,-6) = (-3,-6) + (-4,3) = (-7,-3)

D = (-6,-6) = (-6,-6) + (-4,3) = (-10,-3)

So, we see that the rectangle ABCD is transformed by the co-ordinates (-4,3).

That is, it is translated 4 units to the left and 3 units upwards.

Thus, option A is correct.
