Answer:

w = 19

L = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

L = w - 13

a = lw

114 = w(w - 13)

114 = w² - 13w

w² - 13w - 114

(w - 9) (w + 6)

w ≠ -6 (a length cannot be negative)

w = 19

L = 19 - 13

L = 6

here is ur answer dear frnd

let width = x cm

so length = x - 13 cm

According to question ,

Area = length × breadth

114 = x( x-13)

114= x^2 - 13 x

x^2 -13x - 114 =0

x^2 -19x + 6x -114 =0

x(x-19) + 6(x- 19)= 0

(x-19)(x+6)= 0

take x - 19 = 0

so x = 19

take x+6 = 0

that gives x= -6 ( not possible)

so width = 19 cm

and length = 19- 13 = 6 cm

Bumek [7]

Answer:

x\geq -30

Step-by-step explanation:

Work to isolate x on one side of the inequality:

3-\frac{x}{2} \leq 18\\3-18\leq \frac{x}{2} \\-15\leq  \frac{x}{2}\\-30 \leq x

Therefore the answer is all x values larger than or equal to -30

x\geq -30

Nell's mom makes chocolate milk with 30\text{ mL}30 mL30, start text, space, m, L, end text of chocolate syrup for every 222 oun
mixas84 [53]

Answer:

Hence Nell's mom Chocolate milk is more Chocolaty.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Chocolate syrup used by Nell's mom  = 30 ml

Amount of milk used = 2 ounces.

We will first find Amount of chocolate syrup used in 1 ounce of milk.

Now In 2 ounces of milk = 30 ml of chocolate syrup.

So in 1 ounce of milk = Amount of Chocolate syrup used for 1 ounce milk.

By using Unitary method we get;

Amount of Chocolate syrup used for 1 ounce milk= \frac{30}{2}=15\ ml

Hence For every 1  ounce of milk Nell's mom uses 15 ml of chocolate syrup.

Also Given:

Chocolate syrup used by Nell's dad  = 65 ml

Amount of milk used = 5 ounces.

We will first find Amount of chocolate syrup used in 1 ounce of milk.

Now In 5 ounces of milk = 65 ml of chocolate syrup.

So in 1 ounce of milk = Amount of Chocolate syrup used for 1 ounce milk.

By using Unitary method we get;

Amount of Chocolate syrup used for 1 ounce milk= \frac{65}{5}=13\ ml

Hence For every 1  ounce of milk Nell's dad uses 13 ml of chocolate syrup.

Since The amount of chocolate syrup used by Nell's mom is more than Nell's dad.

Hence Nell's mom Chocolate milk is more Chocolaty.

Help meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Answer:

3

Step-by-step explanation:

I think the easiest way to go about this is to choose on of the answers and fill it in to see if it's correct. Since you only have 4 possible answers, there's no need to actually solve this.

In the question it already tells us that x does not equal 0, so that answer is automatically not correct. Now your down to three possible answers.

Start with -3. First, fill in the x with -3 for what the equation is supposed to equal. That gives you 3/-3. Simplified, that is -1. Now put -3 in for the x in the equation. That gives you 3/2(-3) + 1/2. After running that through your calculator or solving it, you end up with 0. So -3 is not your answer.

Next we'll try the 2. Do as we did last time, and fill in the x on the answer part of the equation. You now have 3/2. That doesn't simplify so it stays as is. Now for the equation. That makes it 3/2(2) +1/2. Put that in your calculator or solve, and you get 5/4. 5/4 does not equal 3/2 so 2 is not your answer.

That leaves 3. You can go ahead and run through the steps above using 3 if you want to double check, but since it's the only answer left, there isn't really a need to.

Hope this helps :)
