5x+90=14x+9
-5x -5x
90= 9x+9
-9 -9
81=9x

81/9 =9x/9

9=x or x=9

Step 1: Subtract 5x in both sides as shown above. We subtracted because it's the opposite of adding.We bring things down so 90=9x+9.

Step 2: You subtract 9 in both sides as shown above. We subtracted because it's the opposite of adding.You get 81=9x

Step 3: You need to get x by itself so do the opposite of multiplying which is dividing . So divide 9 in each side shown above. The answer is 9

X=9
I hope I helped

HCF(320, x) = 20, LCM(320, x) = 2240, then x =
HACTEHA [7]

Answer:

  140

Step-by-step explanation:

When working HCF and LCM problems, I like to think in terms of this little diagram:

  (a [ b ) c]

It shows me one of the numbers is ab, the other is bc, the HCF is b and the LCM is abc. "a" and "c" must be relatively prime for "b" to be the HCF.

__

Here, we're given ...

  b = 20

  ab = 320

  abc = 2240

Then ...

  c = abc/(ab) = 2240/320 = 7

  x = bc = 20(7) . . . . . . equivalently, x = (abc·b)/(ab) = (2240·20)/320

  x = 140

The lengths of pregnancies in a small rural village are normally distributed with a mean of 265 days and a standard deviation of
MakcuM [25]

Answer:

the middle 50% of most lengths of pregnancies ranges between 255.62 days and 274.38 days

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that :

Mean  = 265

standard deviation = 14

The formula for calculating the z score is z = \dfrac{x -\mu}{\sigma}

x = μ + σz

At middle of 50% i.e 0.50

The critical value for z_{\alpha/2} = z_{0.50/2}

From standard normal table

z_{0.25}= + 0.67  or -0.67

So; when z = -0.67

x = μ + σz

x = 265 + 14(-0.67)

x = 265 -9.38

x = 255.62

when z = +0.67

x = μ + σz

x = 265 + 14 (0.67)

x = 265 + 9.38

x = 274.38

the middle 50% of most lengths of pregnancies ranges between 255.62 days and 274.38 days
