5x+90=14x+9
-5x -5x
90= 9x+9
-9 -9
81=9x

81/9 =9x/9

9=x or x=9

Step 1: Subtract 5x in both sides as shown above. We subtracted because it's the opposite of adding.We bring things down so 90=9x+9.

Step 2: You subtract 9 in both sides as shown above. We subtracted because it's the opposite of adding.You get 81=9x

Step 3: You need to get x by itself so do the opposite of multiplying which is dividing . So divide 9 in each side shown above. The answer is 9
