Answer:

B. Conflict theory.

Explanation:

Cedric´s uncle is holding the sociological perspective of Conflict Theory. This theory created by Karl Marx claims that society is in perpetual conflict because people compete for limited resources. The order is maintained with control and power rather than with consensus and conformity. Those who are members of the dominant group struggle to maintain there by any means, even using racism and discrimination to achieve this.

olga_2 [115]

Answer:

shaping

Explanation:

In this scenario, the coach is using a training strategy called shaping. This strategy revolves around providing positive reinforcement to the subject starting with a wide range of behavior. This range is lessened as time progresses leading to positive reinforcement being only given out for a very specific desired behavior. This is a way of leading the subject more towards that desired behavior and less toward other behaviors until that desired behavior is perfected.

Alenkasestr [34]

Answer:

The Right to Vote

The 15th Amendment, ratified in 1870, presumably guaranteed the vote to people of color. Nevertheless, the oppressive and violent racial system in the South prevented African-Americans from voting. Some Mexican-Americans faced similar obstacles when attempting to vote. President Lyndon Johnson asked Congress in 1965 to issue legislation enforcing the spirit of the 15th Amendment. This request came after the savage beating of protesters in Selma, Alabama, during a march to encourage African-American voter registration.

The 1965 Voting Rights Act required districts with histories of extremely low minority voter turnout to seek federal approval before making any changes to election laws. Over the years, voting patterns changed and the Democratic Party began receiving undeniable support among African-Americans and others. These racial minorities have played a central role in national elections, including the 2008 and 2012 elections of President Barack Obama.
