The correct answer is Emile Durkheim

Durkheim determines the social fact as the central object of investigation in this new scientific field. The social fact is understood as a “thing” that exerts a force of coercion on the subjects, regardless of their individual will or action. The social fact imposes itself in the direction of society for the individual and is established in a way to homogenize and standardize particular behaviors, ensuring that they are collective. Purposely, Durkheim calls the social fact a “thing” to emphasize that it is an object in the scientific sense, that is, something that can be observed, defined and explained by the social scientist.

Why Black Female Activists are so important to us and society?
Fudgin [204]

Answer:

I think that Female Black Activists are so important to us and society because they had a harder time with segregation than Male Black Activists. Not only did they go through colored segregation but they also went through gender segregation. They werent allowed to work with whites because they were black, and they weren’t allowed to have the same jobs as the black men. If they were smart and wanted to be a physician, they had to do paperwork. And get this, if they had a MAJOR discovery, they had to run it through a MAN! How messed up is that?! They were important because they taught the children, they were brave for their family when everything was hard, they cooked, they cleaned, and they had the guts (most of the time) to speak their mind.

Which group of people migrated to Israel shortly after its founding in 1948?
sergejj [24]

Answer:

Explanation:

The establishment of Israel had a significant impact on the Middle East. Once Israel declared sovereignty in 1948, armed conflict began almost immediately. Arab countries resented the creation of the state, supporting the rights of Palestinians in the region. Israel was forced to defend itself against its neighbors. For decades, Arab states refused to accept that Israel had a right to exist, despite the need for a Jewish homeland following the Holocaust. Conflicts have occurred over the years, but many people are still committed to working on a peaceful solution.

What happens if there is a tie in the voting for a finding in the U.S. Supreme Court?
Ray Of Light [21]

On Saturday, Justice Antonin Scalia died at age 79. What happens now at the Supreme Court? In 2004, after Chief Justice William Rehnquist was absent from the court after an operation, Brendan I. Koerner asked what happens when the Supreme Court has eight justices. The original is reprinted below.

Despite his plans to the contrary, Chief Justice William Rehnquist has yet to return to the Supreme Court after his tracheotomy last week. Instead, according to an official statement released yesterday, the 80-year-old Rehnquist will be working from home as he recuperates. How will the court function in Rehnquist’s absence, especially if another contested election gets thrown its way?

Although he is confined to his house for the time being, Rehnquist can still participate in Supreme Court decisions. Justice John Paul Stevens, who is subbing as chief justice with Rehnquist gone, made this clear yesterday when he commented that his cancer-stricken colleague “reserves the right” to cast his vote in upcoming cases. That includes cases for which the chief justice isn’t physically present for oral arguments; he will rely on transcripts and written briefings instead.
