1 dime = 10 cents
1 quarter = 25 cents

$4.90 = 490 cents

let q = quaters
let d = dimes

d + q = 40  ----- equation 1
10d + 25q = 490 ----- equation 2

10d+ 10q = 400 ---- equation 1 multiplied by 10
10d + 25q = 490 ---- equation 2 multiplied by 1

-15q = -90
q = 90/15
q = 6

plug q into any one of the equations

d + q = 40
d + 6 = 40
d = 40 - 6
d = 34

34 dimes and 6 quaters

What is the value of x?
Karolina [17]

Answer:

14

Step-by-step explanation:

A triangle with 45 degrees on one corner and 90 degrees on another has 45 degrees on the third corner (180-side1-side2=side3). Therefore that’s an isosceles triangle, which has the same length on the two sides next to the right angle. To get the length of the third side, remember that for any right triangle, the longest side is equal to the square root of :(the first side squared)+(the second side squared). A^2+b^2=c^2 or c=sqrt(a^2+b^2). If you do the math, sqrt((7sqrt2)^2+(7sqrt2)^2)=14. That’s your third side length, x=14.

what are the matching the functions with their ranges y = 3sin(x − π), (-∞, ∞) ,y = 1 − sin(x) ,[-1, 7] , y = 3 + 4cos(x − π) ,[
BabaBlast [244]
You need to know:

Tangent function has range of <span>(-∞, ∞)

Sine function has range of [-1,1], which is the same as cosine function

So [-3,3] matches the 1st, [0,2] matches the 2nd, [-1,7] matches the 3rd, the 4th will be the rest </span>
