Answer:

31

Step-by-step explanation:

In the above problem it is given that

No of Bees in the hive = 14

Number of bees in the garden = 17

In order to solve it

First of all I wrote 14 in the first box which represents the number of bees in the hive.

Secondly, I wrote 17 in the second box which represents the number of bees in the garden.

Now, in order to calculate the total number of bees i added the number in both boxes

Total Number of bees = 14 + 17

Total Number of bees = 31

So our total number of bees are 31

I knew there were 14 bees in one and 17 in the garden there and together that equals 31. I wrote it out to show that I added the two to get 31 bees in all

A corporate team-building event costs $1, plus an additional $1 per attendee. Write an equation that shows the relationship betw
Elis [28]

The equation is y=x+1

Here's an explanation:

The equation starts out with y since that's what we're told to do. Since the even costs $1, then the total cost would be the total number of attendees +1. The variable for attendees is x, and since the additional cost is $1 per attendee, you don't have to multiply x with anything. So, the answer would be y=x+1. (Everything's in dollars)

Find the probability of selecting two number cards when two cards are
olga2289 [7]

We know that there are 36 number cards and 16 face cards in standard deck of 52 cards. Now choose two cards without replacement from 52 cards.

The number of ways of choosing any 2 cards without replacement from 52 cards is

C(2,52)=\frac{52!}{50!2!}.

The number of ways of choosing 2 number cards without replacement from 36 cards is

C(2,36)=\frac{36!}{34!2!}.

The required probability is

\frac{\frac{36!}{34!2!}}{\frac{52!}{50!2!}  } =\frac{35*36}{51*52} =\frac{105}{221}

Correct choice is (A).
