When you put a label on someone, like "lazy", "stupid", "selfish" for example one should look into oneself to see if any of these labels has applied to your own behaviour in the past and to recognize that things are not always what they seem. For example, someone who seems selfish and self-centred or self-preoccupied may have a genuine trauma in their life such as a relative with a very serious mental or developmental disability who may not be doing very well and may require a lot of extra care so that the selfish-appearing person is actually exhausted and burnt out so literally can't respond to other people's needs.

summarize the authors thesis statement. provide two quotes from the text for support.( is texting killing the english language?)
FinnZ [79.3K]

Texting is not written communication but is some kind of a spoken language that is getting more complicated as time goes by.

This notion is taken from the expressions: ‘it’s actually more akin to spoken language” and “that is getting richer and more complex by the year.”
