Silicon is a nonmetallic element that can be found in the group 14 of the periodic table. Silicon is a semiconductor, tetravalent (has four valence electrons), metalloid and relatively unreactive. Silicon can be found in large quantities on the earth and it is usually used in computers and almost every electronic device.
