The correct answer is C. It proposed ideas that were contrary to religious teachings.

Explanation:

Galileo Galilei, who was an Italian astronomer and known as the "father of modern science", was one of the first scientists in proposing a heliocentric theory during the 17th century in which the Sun was the center of the Solar System and planets, including the Earth revolve around it. This theory was mainly controversial as during the 17th-century religion supported the Tychonic system in which the Earth was the center in the Universe and the Sun and moon revolved around the planet, this implies Galileo heliocentric theory was contrary to the theory supported by the church ideas and the religious teachings. Due to this, the church qualified Galileo's model as absurd and  Galileo was judge and spent the rest of his life under house arrest.

How do you explain the fact that the various nomadic empires, and particularly the Mongol Empire, were relatively short-lived
Scilla [17]

Answer:

The fact that several nomadic empires, such as the Mongol Empire, have been short-lived is mainly based on the lack of defense structures built in a planned, strategic and orderly manner.

Due to their nomadic nature, these empires and civilizations did not tend to establish new cities or urban centers, with which their conception of territorial expansion was the mere possession of the territory. Therefore, in the event of enemy attacks, the territories were not sufficiently protected to repel these types of attacks. Thus, these empires could not sustain their power because they did not have the necessary building structures for it.
