"her students to put two spoonfuls of seawater into their containers"
 We have then:
 (2) * (5) = 10 mililiter
 "he gives each of her 22 students a container"
 Thus,
 (22) * (10) = 220 mililiter
 Therefore, they will remain:
 (0.4 * 1000) - 220 = 400 - 220 = 180 milliliter
 Answer:

There will be left 180 mililiter of seawater after all 22 students have filled their containers

alexandr1967 [171]

Answer:

Option A -  $ 40.00 - $9.50 - $4.25 - $5.00

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Tu went to the movies. he bought 2 tickets for $ 9.50 each, popcorn for $ 5.00, and 2 drinks for $ 4.25 each. He give the clerk two $ 20.00 bills.

To find : Which expression can not be used to find the amount of changes Tu got?

Solution :

He give the clerk two $ 20.00 bills i.e. 2\times 20 or 40

He bought 2 tickets for $ 9.50 each i.e. -(2\times 9.50) or -9.50-9.50

Popcorn for $ 5.00 i.e. -5

2 drinks for $ 4.25 each i.e. -(2\times 4.25) or -4.35-4.25

The expression can not be used to find the amount of changes Tu got is

' $ 40.00 - $9.50 - $4.25 - $5.00'.

Therefore, option A is correct.

Katen [24]
3 \frac{1}{2} = \frac{7}{2}

\frac{7}{2} \times 8 = 28

\frac{28}{12} = \frac{14}{6} = \frac{7}{3} = 2 \frac{1}{3}

So each hiker gets 2 1/3 cup of trail mix.

In the given problem, A circle graph is titled as Family Budget.

Here in the circle graph the housing is 23 percent, food is 21 percent, savings is 10 percent, transportation is 16 percent, medical is 12 percent, clothing is 13 percent, and emergency fund is 5 percent.

Lets check all the option given in the problem to find the required categories,

  • Clothing, medical, and emergency fund-Clothing shows 13 percent, medical shows 12 percent, and emergency fund shows 5 percent on circle graph. The total these three is equal to the (13+12+5) 30 percent. Thus this is not correct option.

  • Clothing, housing, and savings-Clothing shows 13 percent, housing shows 23 percent, and saving shows 10 percent on circle graph. The total of these three is equal to the (13+23+10) 46 percent. Thus this is not correct option.

  • Housing,savings, and food-Housing shows 23 percent, saving  shows 10 percent, and food shows 21 percent on circle graph. The total of these three is equal to the (23+10+21) 54 percent. Thus this is correct option.
