What was a power given by the Articles of Confederation?

The Articles of Confederation gave the federal government the ability to declare war on other nations while giving the state government the right to tax.

Further Explanation:

The Articles of Confederation was America's first constitution after becoming free from British rule. This constitution gave a significant amount of power to state governments and very little power to the federal government. One of the reason behinds this uneven split in power was the Americans fear of a tyrannical and too powerful central government, like the one they experienced right before the American Revolution.

This is why the federal government was only given a limited amount of power. The federal government could declare war and make treaties with other countries. However, states had the ability to tax, decide whether or nor they would follow federal laws, and could coin their own currency. This constitution proved to be highly ineffective, ultimately resulting in delegates meeting at the Constitutional Convention in order to change this document. After realizing the Articles of Confederation could not be fixed, the delegates decided to develop a brand new constitution. This resulted in the US Constitution we have today.

Answer:

Assuming that more physical contact is associated with higher relationship satisfaction, this study is a demonstration of predictive validity.

Explanation:

The survey above is an example of predictive validity. This term refers to a research that has the ability to predict the future of individuals, based on the analysis of some factors and characteristics that these individuals have. This can be seen in the question above because the researcher predicts the future satisfaction of couples in a relationship based on the amount of physical contact they have had.

Why does correlation not equal causation psychology?
alexandr402 [8]
I believe Correlation is not causation" means that just because two things correlate does not necessarily mean that one causes the other. As a seasonal example, just because people in the UK tend to spend more in the shops when it's cold and less when it's hot doesn't mean cold weather causes frenzied high-street spending.
