The Articles of Confederation gave the federal government the ability to declare war on other nations while giving the state government the right to tax.

Further Explanation:

The Articles of Confederation was America's first constitution after becoming free from British rule. This constitution gave a significant amount of power to state governments and very little power to the federal government. One of the reason behinds this uneven split in power was the Americans fear of a tyrannical and too powerful central government, like the one they experienced right before the American Revolution.

This is why the federal government was only given a limited amount of power. The federal government could declare war and make treaties with other countries. However, states had the ability to tax, decide whether or nor they would follow federal laws, and could coin their own currency. This constitution proved to be highly ineffective, ultimately resulting in delegates meeting at the Constitutional Convention in order to change this document. After realizing the Articles of Confederation could not be fixed, the delegates decided to develop a brand new constitution. This resulted in the US Constitution we have today.

2. The law of gravity.
The moon is a mass that is constantly falling towards earth, but will never reach it due to how quickly the earth moves. When something cold touches the roof of your mouth (your palate), the sudden temperature change of the tissue stimulates nerves to cause rapid dilation and swelling of blood vessels. This is an attempt to direct blood to the area and warm it back up. The dilation of the blood vessels triggers pain receptors, which release pain-causing prostaglandins, increase sensitivity to further pain, and produce inflammation while sending signals through the trigeminal nerve to alert the brain to the problem.
