Interpretation:  For every $100 additional spent on advertising, the monthly sales revenue drops by $48.30.   Personally I'd expect that the sales revenue increases with every $100 spent on ads.

Answer:

The interpretation of the slope is that for each $1000 you spend, your revenue increases by $900.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have that:

The revenue y is a function of the advertising expediture x, and the relationship is given by the following function:

y = -48.3 + 9x.

However, since y is in thousands and x in hundreds, i am going to rewrite

y = -48.3 + 0.9x

This means that if you spend no money in advertising, you lose -48.3 thousands of dollars. However, for each $1000 you spend, your revenue increases by $900.

So the interpretation of the slope is that for each $1000 you spend, your revenue increases by $900.

Complete the square to transform the expression x2 + 4x + 2 into the form a(x − h)2 + k.
Nina [5.8K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

y = (x^2 + 4x)      + 2

Take 1/2 of the linear term 4/2 = 2 and square that result. 2^2 = 4.

Put it after 4x

y = (x^2 + 4x + 4)   +2  Subtract what you put inside the brackets on the outside.

y = (x^2 + 4x + 4) + 2 - 4      Combine the right.

y = (x^2 + 4x + 4) - 2            Express the brackets as a square.

y = (x + 2)^2 - 2

That's your answer

a = 1

h = 2

k = -2

Place the correct coefficients<br> x²y³ +<br> in the difference.<br> xy² +<br> y
antiseptic1488 [7]

The difference between the two polynomials is 11x²3y³ - 4xy².

<h3>What is the Difference between the Polynomials?</h3>

The difference between two polynomials is the result you get by subtracting one from the other.

Thus:

= (4x²2y³ + 2xy² – 2y) – (–7x²y³ + 6xy² – 2y)

= 4x²2y³ + 2xy² – 2y + 7x²y³ - 6xy² + 2y

= 11x²3y³ - 4xy²

Marą purchased a cell
DanielleElmas [232]

Answer: $28.30✔️

Step-by-step explanation:

Let C = cost before tax

Cell phone costs = C + C·6% = $30

C(1 + 0.06) = $30

C = $30/1.06 = $28.30

Answer: $28.30✔️

<h3> Verify </h3>

Cell phone after tax = $28.30 + $28.30·6/100 = $28.30 + $1.70 = $30✔️
