Think using PEMDAS

Go through each letter one by one, I will bold each step in order.

8-1*0+2/2
8-0+2/2
8-0+1
8+1
9

Basically, you didnt have Parenthesis, so next you look for Exponents, you didnt have any so next Multiplication or division, you had both so you do whichever comes first from left to right, in this case, 1*0, so you solve and keep going, you still have that division left, 2/2, so you do that. Afterwards you go through the steps from where you left off, Addition or Subtraction, you have both, again, do whichever comes first, in this case 8-0, then again 8+1. FInally you solve to get your answer.

4 red balls 4 white balls what is the probability of drawing at least 1 red ball if two balls are drawn
vodomira [7]
The probability of drawing exactly one red ball is given by:
P(1\ red\ ball)=\frac{4C1\times4C1}{8C2}=\frac{16}{28}
the probability of drawing two red balls is given by:
P(2\ red\ balls)=\frac{4C2\times4C0}{8C2}=\frac{6}{28}
The probability of drawing at least one red ball is:
P(1 red ball) + P(2 red balls) = 16/28 + 6/28 = 11/14.
 The answer is \ \frac{11}{14}

Veseljchak [2.6K]

Answer:

option A

Step-by-step explanation:

given,

the bank branch is offering $1,000 certificates of deposit.

Rate of interest per year = 4 % = 0.04

The bank is selling certificates with terms of 1, 2, 3, or 4 years

total amount =  A , in dollar

time of investment = k years

4 k% is added to the original deposit.

A = P + P r t

A = P (1 + r t)

A = P (1 + 0.04 k)

the correct answer is option A
