There are two ways to get the answer of 128

--------------------------------------

Method 1

sale price = (original price) - (20% of original price)
sale price = 160 - (20% of 160)
sale price = 160 - (0.2*160)
sale price = 160 - 32
sale price = 128

--------------------------------------

Method 2

Sale price = 80% of original price
Sale price = 0.8*(original price)
Sale price = 0.8*(160)
Sale price = 128

The discount is 20% so the leftover bit (80%) is the sale price

Orchestra seats for a Symphony per-
slamgirl [31]

Answer:

The Answer is that Orchestra seats were $15 and Balcony seats were $9.

Step-by-step explanation:

400(x+6) + 250x = 8250

400x + 2400 + 250x = 8250

650x + 2400 = 8250

650x = 5850

x = 9

Proof:

400(15) + 250(9) = 8250

6000 + 2250 = $8,250

The lumberyard where you work sold a customer two boards . They measure 10 1/4 feet and 8 2/4 feet what is the total of the two
Lelechka [254]
If you add the two numbers, 10 +8 is 18.  The fractional parts are 1/4 and 2/4 which equals 3/4.  So the total length is 18 and 3/4 feet.
