When you remove on introduce a new species into an ecosystem, it tends to throw everything out of balance. Imagine if a super-predator was introduced that killed all of another predator's prey. The normal predator would starve to death. If you were to remove the predator, then the prey might multiply rapidly without anything to cull their population. They might devour the food source of another prey that starves to death. If you introduced a super-plant, it might overrun the normal flora and 'cause those who relied on that to starve which leads to the predators who relied on those prey to starve. Nature is a delicate thing. A true balancing act between predator and prey.

Explanation:

The complete question is

The cell produced by the fusion of an egg and a sperm is the

a. gamete

b. oocyte

c. zygote

d. germ line cells

e. somatic cell

Solution

During the process of fertilization in sexual reproduction, when a male gamete (sperm) and female gamete (egg) fuses they form a new cell known as zygote.

Both male and female gamete are haploid with”n” number of chromosomes (only a single set of genes) and when they combine they form diploid zygote with “2n” number of chromosomes.

Hence, option C is correct

An example of imbalance in human homeostais
erastovalidia [21]

Answer: An abnormal increase/decrease in body temperature (no sweating/shivering)

Explanation: Homeostasis is the process by which the body regulates and equalizes functions within the body. An example of the human body maintaining homeostasis is body temperature. If the human body is too hot, then the body will activate the sweat glands to cool down. If the human body is too cold, the the body will shiver.

An imbalance in homeostasis however, would be the lack of the process that regulates body temperature. So an example of imbalance in the process of human homeostasis would be not shivering when cold and not sweating when hot.

I know there are probably better examples of imbalances in the process of human homeostasis, but I hope that this explains it sufficiently enough and is a good-enough example. Have a nice day!
