Verizon [17]

Answer:

x² + 23x + 49

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the area of a rectangle is: A = l x w, where l = length and w = width, we can find the overall area of the shaded region by multiplying the entire area and subtracting the smaller area of the unshaded square:

(2x + 5)(x + 10) - (x + 1)² or (2x + 5)(x + 10) - (x² + 2x + 1)

Distribute/FOIL:

2x² + 20x + 5x + 50 - x² - 2x -1

Combine like terms:

x² + 23x + 49

Solve for n: 7(n - 6) = a(n + 5)
Morgarella [4.7K]

Answer:

n = \frac{(5a + 42)}{( 7 - a ) }

Step-by-step explanation:

7(n - 6) = a(n + 5)

7n - 42 = an + 5a

7n - an = 5a + 42

n( 7 - a ) = 5a + 42

n = \frac{(5a + 42)}{( 7 - a ) }

Suppose that there are two types of tickets to a show: advance and same-day. The combined cost of one advance ticket and one sam
fomenos

Answer:

Advance tickets=$25

Same-day tickets=$15

Step-by-step explanation:

Complete question below:

Suppose that there are two types of tickets to a show: advance and same-day. The combined cost of one advance ticket and one same-day ticket is $ 40. For one performance, 25 advance tickets and 30 same-day tickets were sold. The total amount paid for the tickets was $1075 . What was the price of each kind of ticket?

Let

advance tickets=x

Same-day tickets=y

Combined cost of advance and same-day tickets=$40

It means,

x+y=40 Equ (1)

25 advance tickets and 30 same-day tickets=$1075

It means,

25x+30y=1075 Equ(2)

From (1)

x+y=40

x=40-y

Substitute x=40-y into (2)

25x+30y=1075

25(40-y)+30y=1075

1000-25y+30y=1075

5y=1075-1000

5y=75

Divide both sides by 5

5y/5=75/5

y=15

Recall,

x+y=40

x+15=40

x=40-15

=25

x=25

Advance tickets=$25

Same-day tickets=$15

Check

25x+30y=1075

25(25)+30(15)=1075

625+450=1075

1075=1075

If you can, give the explanation. I'm finding these very difficult.
Goryan [66]

Answer:

Gustavo

Step-by-step explanation:

if anything this looks like 38-19n, if the first term is n=1.

But as that isn't an option, gustavo should be correct, as his sequence would go down by 19 each time (yuki's would go up by 19 each time, not down like the sequence shows)
