The surface area is simply the the sum of the areas of each face. We see that this triangular prism has three rectangles each with the same lengths, and two triangles, each with the same lengths.

The dimensions of one such rectangle are 11.2 cm by 25.7 cm. We multiply these two dimensions to get the area: (11.2 \ cm)(25.7 \ cm)=287.84 \ cm^2

The dimensions of one such triangle are a base of 11.2 cm and a height of 9.7 cm. We multiply these dimensions together with one half to get: \frac{1}{2}(11.2 \ cm)(9.7 \ cm)=54.32 \ cm^2

Remember, we have each rectangle three times, and each triangle twice. We multiply and add up to get the surface area:
S.A.=3(287.84 \ cm^2)+2(54.32 \ cm^2)=972.16 \ cm^2

klemol [59]

Kory and Leanne will meet each other again after 36 minutes from starting i.e. at 10:36 am .

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

Here we have , Leanne runs a lap in 12 minutes. Kory runs a lap in 9 minutes. We need to find out that If they  both start running at 10 am, at what time will they both cross the start  together again . Let's find out:

Kory runs a lap in 9 minutes and , Leanne in 12 minutes , in order to find at what time will they both cross the start  together again we will find LCM of 9 & 12 :

⇒ \frac{9(4)}{12(4)}

⇒ \frac{36}{36}

So ,LCM of 9 & 12 is 36 .That means Kory and Leanne will meet each other again after 36 minutes from starting i.e. at 10:36 am .

In clear way , Kory will run race as :

1st lap = 9 minutes

2nd lap = 18 minutes

3rd lap = 27 minutes

4th lap = 36 minutes , i.e. at 10:36 am he'll complete his 4th lap

For , Leanne

1st lap = 12 minutes

2nd lap = 24 minutes

3rd lap = 36 minutes i.e. at 10:36 am he'll complete his 3rd lap .

This means Kory & Leanne will meet at 10:36 am completing there 4th and 3rd lap respectively .

To perform car maintenance, a mechanic
Anvisha [2.4K]

Answer:

C = 35 + 45h

In the equation above $35 is the initial value which interprets the cost for motor parts and $45/hour is the rate of charge of the mechanic per hour.

Step-by-step explanation:

Charges for parts and $45 per hour for  labor that takes a mechanic for maintenance of a car.

It costs $125 as Terri spent 2 hours for car maintenance.

Since the function is linear, so we can write

125 = 45 × 2 + x {Where x is the charges for parts}

⇒ x = 35

Therefore, the equation that models the situation is given by

C = 35 + 45h ......... (1)

where C is the total cost and h is the number of hours.

Here, in equation (1) $35 is the initial value that interprets the cost for parts and $45/hour is the rate of charge of the mechanic per hour. (Answer)
