If there are no answer choices, then here is what I believe needs to be done:

Firstly, clean up the patient and dress them in clean garments as to decontaminate them.
Secondly, the nurse has to look at their chart. Is the patient allergic to anything in the medicine?
If there are no allergies known, then they can either A. Call the doctor to explain the situation and ask what needs to be done, or B. Look on the side affects of the medication. If it reads that in case of vomiting, stop medication immediately, then he/she can assume that the patient's body is not coping well to the medicine. At that point, with qualified expertise, can switch out for a different medicine that aids the client's condition.
Hope this helps. <3

What does heroin do to the brain, and what are its short-term and long-term effects on the brain, the rest of the body, or the m
zmey [24]
Heroin is usually a white or brownish powder. It can be smoked, injected, or snorted (i'm sure there are other ways as well). This drug is highly addictive, just like all drugs. The hormones and feelings it gives off is probably why its so addictive.

Short term:

Morphine is produced when the heroin enters the brain. Which sort of feels like a "rush" to people who use. This feeling usually depends on how much you take. You may feel some not so great symptoms like warmness, vomiting, drowsiness, and impaired thinking! But the list could go on and on, these are just some of the symptoms related to this.

Long term:
One of the long term effects of heroin is that your brain is slowly breaks down, which is pretty serious. It can make it difficult to think or control you behavior in a healthy matter. You begin being resistant to the drug, which is why people constantly use more than before to give that same effect as the first time. You get totally dependent on that. When your not using you usually experience withdrawals. It is similar to the short term effects, but it is more negative and not as enjoyable. The first few hours are when the symptoms is the weakest but it usually get worse as time goes by. There are some users that have been known to have those withdrawals for months.

It can really change a persons life for the worst. But it is understandable why they do it, there's all kinds of reasons why people do this, this doesn't make them a bad person. Ya know? We all hit rock bottom at one point, or at many points. Sometimes it doesn't seem like it for some because their are going out to party, drink, use drugs, have sex, just all kinds of things like that. (Not for everyone, i'm just using this as an example.) But that ends up being a mistake or it ends up hurting them, what seems nice and comfy at first can bite back at you when you wouldn't think it would.

One thing I am trying to say is that not all addicts are bad! Sometimes they can do bad things, but that happens to everyone, not only them. There are often people who judge and hate addicts because they all seem like bad people. But that's not true, we all have our moments, instead of spreading hate we should just try to show love and support for them to get better. Even if they deny it, don't give up. Anyone can get better.
