Answer:

cost of a large candy bar = 0.82 approx

 the cost of  a small candy bar = 0.47 approx

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the cost of a large candy bar and y be the cost of  small candy bar

cost of 5 small candy bars and 3 large candy bars. If the total cost of the candy is around $5.50,

5x+3y= 5.50

A large candy bar costs 35 cents more than a small candy bar.

x=0.35+y

using two equations, solve for x  and y

5x+3y= 5.50

5(0.35+y)+3y= 5.50\\1.75+5y+3y=5.50\\1.75+8y=5.50\\

subtract 1.75 from both sides

8y=3.75

divide both sides by 8

y=0.47

x=0.35+y\\x=0.35+0.47\\x=0.82

cost of a large candy bar = 0.82 approx

 the cost of  a small candy bar = 0.47 approx

What is f(7) for the rule of f(x)=-5x+10
Anna35 [415]

Answer:

f(7) = - 25

Step-by-step explanation:

To evaluate f(7) substitute x = 7 into f(x), that is

f(7) = - 5(7) + 10 = - 35 + 10 = - 25

Why did I get this question wrong?
lord [1]

Step-by-step explanation:

∫₀³⁰ (r/V C₀ e^(-rt/V)) dt

If u = -rt/V, then du = -r/V dt.

∫ -C₀ e^u du

-C₀ ∫ e^u du

-C₀ e^u + C

-C₀ e^(-rt/V) + C

Evaluate between t=0 and t=30.

-C₀ e^(-30r/V) − -C₀ e^(-0r/V)

-C₀ e^(-30r/V) + C₀

C₀ (-e^(-30r/V) + 1)

I got the same answer.  Try changing the lowercase v to an uppercase V.

8. If a runner’s power is 400 W as she runs, how much chemical energy does she convert into other forms in 10.0 minutes? E = P X
spin [16.1K]

Answer:

2400kJ

Step-by-step explanation:

Step one:

given data

power P= 400W

time = 10minutes

to seconds= 60*10 = 600 seconds

Required

the energy

Step two:

we know that Energy= power * time

E=P*t

E=400*600

E=240000

E=2400kJ

She converts 2400kJ into other forms
