That all depends on the planet toward which the mass is falling.

If this happens to be taking place near the Earth, then the object accelerates
at the rate of about 9.8 meters per second every second.

Furthermore, if there is truly no air resistance, then it makes no difference whether
the object is a feather, a mass of 30 kg, or a school-bus.  All objects accelerate at
the same rate regardless of their mass.

Can you tell me if this is a poorly worded question?
ohaa [14]

NONE of the choices is a correct answer.

Density is (mass) DIVIDED BY (volume).

The volume of the black cube is

2 x 2 x 2 = 8 cm^3

It's density is 48/8 = 6 gm/cm^3

The volume of the yellow cube is

3 x 3 x 3 = 27 cm^3

Its density is 135/27 = 5 gm/cm^3

The black one is denser because the RATIO of its mass to its volume is greater.

The cubes are made of different substances.

The density only depends on the substance. It doesn't matter HOW MUCH of the substance there is. It's the RATIO that counts.

The black one would be denser even if one cube or the other was the size of a supertanker.

Explain the difference between mass and weight for objects on earth and on the moon
blsea [12.9K]

Answer: Gravity causes a change in the mass of objects on earth and the moon.

Explanation:

Because of gravity, the weight of objects lessen, and decrease because of gravity. If you were to drop an object from earth from space, the object would have more mass. Hope that helps.

A construction worker is carrying a load of 40 kg over his head and is walking at a constant velocity if he travels a distance o
Anastasy [175]

Answer:

W = 0

Explanation:

We are given with, a construction worker is carrying a load of 40 kg over his head and is walking at a constant velocity. He travels a distance of 50 m.

The work done by an object is given by :

W=Fd

F = ma

So,

W=mad

m is mass

a is acceleration

d is displacement

The worker is moving with constant velocity, its acceleration will be 0. So, the work done by the worker is 0.
