Answer:

<em>This question is regarding the interesting short stories written by H.G Wells. The name of this short story is </em><em>"The treasure in the forest".</em>

The author utilizes snakes as a means to make his two main characters less suspicion.

<u>He wants to make them feel at ease about killing a Chinese man and stealing his treasure map.</u>

Both of them are <u>professional treasure hunters</u>.

<em>These lines exclaim that a snake has killed the man. Even though they killed him and there was no real snake in the story.</em>

How does your decision change based on what you want to say? How does it change based on the person you are talking to?
erastovalidia [21]

Answer:

For the first question: Your decision might change based on what you want to say since your personal ideals/culture will collide with your decision.

The second question: Your decision changes based on the person you're talking to since you don't want your opinion to hurt/offend the other person.  This results in lying or hiding your true feelings.  Also, the other person's opinion will influence your decision since it brings another fresh perspective to the situation.

Serggg [28]

When people are asked to recall a list of words they had earlier memorized, they often substitute synonyms for some words on the original list. This best illustrates the effect of semantic encoding.
