Neither one is wrong. In fact they are both correct because 8/4 is 8 times as much as 1/4. 8/4 is equal to 2. Angelo just used a different way of measuring the distance than Teresa did.

Bothe are correct because 4/4 laps equals one mile so if he did 8/4 laps it equals 2 miles.

A,B,C,D are points on the circumference of a circle centre o
Marina86 [1]

The points A,B,C,D make up the circumference of the circle

The measure of angle BAD is 65 degrees

How to determine the measure of angle BAD?

The measure of angle ODB is given as:

ODB = 25 degrees

Considering the triangle BOD, we have:

ODB + BOD + DBO = 180

Where:

ODB = DBO = 25

So, we have:

25 + BOD + 25 = 180

Solve for BOD

BOD = 130 degrees

The angle at an arc is twice the angle at the circumference.

So, we have:

BOD = 2 * BAD

Substitute 130 for BOD

130 = 2 * BAD

Divide both sides by 2

65 = BAD

Hence, the measure of angle BAD is 65 degrees

In Vancouver, British Columbia, the probability of rain during a winter day is 0.42, for a spring day is 0.23, for a summer day
nadezda [96]

Answer:

31.82% probability that this day would be a winter day

Step-by-step explanation:

We use the conditional probability formula to solve this question. It is

P(B|A) = \frac{P(A \cap B)}{P(A)}

In which

P(B|A) is the probability of event B happening, given that A happened.

P(A \cap B) is the probability of both A and B happening.

P(A) is the probability of A happening

In this question:

Event A: Rain

Event B: Winter day

Probability of rain:

0.42 of 0.25(winter), 0.23 of 0.25(spring), 0.16 of 0.25(summer) or 0.51 of 0.25(fall).

So

P(A) = 0.42*0.25 + 0.23*0.25 + 0.16*0.25 + 0.51*0.25 = 0.33

Intersection:

Rain on a winter day, which is 0.42 of 0.25. So

P(A \cap B) = 0.42*0.25 = 0.105

If you were told that on a particular day it was raining in Vancouver, what would be the probability that this day would be a winter day?

P(B|A) = \frac{0.105}{0.33} = 0.3182

31.82% probability that this day would be a winter day

the graph of a line has a slope of -2/3 and a y intercept of (0,2). rewrite the equation in standard for (Ax+By=C) with a positi
sergiy2304 [10]

Answer:

2x + 3y = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

obtain the equation in slope- intercept form

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y-intercept )

here m = - \frac{2}{3} and c = 2

y = - \frac{2}{3} x + 2 ← in slope-intercept form

multiply all terms by 3 to eliminate the fraction

3y = - 2x + 6 ( add 2x to both sides )

2x + 3y = 6 ← in standard form

Alice and Claire go apple picking. When they are done, Claire has 3 times as many apples in her basket as Alice has in hers. (No
ElenaW [278]

Answer:

6 apples, 21 apples, 30 apples respectively

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us first start by writing expressions so that we can easily solve for the problems below.

Let us suppose Alice is x. In this case, Claire has 3 times Alice's apples, so 3x.

1. If Alice has 2 apples (x), then Claire has 3x

3*2=6 apples

Claire has 6 apples.

2. If Alice has 7 apples (x), then Claire has 3x

3*7=21 apples

Claire has 21 apples.

3. If Alice has 10 apples (x), then Claire has 3x

3*10=30 apples

Claire has 30 apples.
