Answer:

See explanation!

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us first give some principle theory to aid our solution.

Considering two functions A(x) and B(x), in order to show that function

which is the inverse of y=ax.

Now let as solve our problem. We are given the following:

f(x)=3x-4\\g(x)=\frac{x+4}{3}

Method A: Show that these are inverse functions by finding f^-1 (x) and showing that it is the same as g(x).

Let us take [f(x)=y]=3x-4 and "exchanging" our variables we have

x=3y-4\\x+4=3y\\\\y=\frac{x+4}{3}

which is exactly the same with our given function of g(x)=\frac{x+4}{3}, so proved!

Method B: Show that these are inverse functions by showing that when the output of one function is used for the input of the other function, the final output is equal to the original input value. (you may choose any initial input)

For this case we will use a simple input let us say x=1. Thus taking the f(x) function and plugging in we have:

f(x=1) = 3(1)-4\\f(1)=3-4\\f(1)=-1

Now let us take the output of f(1) which is -1 and use it the input to our second function of g(x), so we have:

g(x=-1) = \frac{(-1)+4}{3}\\ \\g(-1)=\frac{3}{3}\\ \\g(-1)=1

so the output of the second function is equal to the original input value of the first function, hence proved!

Method C: Verify that these are the inverse function by showing that f(g(x)) = x AND g(f(x)) = x.

Basically we are asked to prove that both f(g(x))=g(f(x))=x

To do so, we just replace one function into the x value of the other function as follow:

f(g(x))=3(\frac{x+4}{3} )-4\\\\f(g(x))=x+4-4\\\\f(g(x))=x

Lets repeat now for the opposite as follow:

g(f(x))=\frac{(3x-4)+4}{3}\\ \\g(f(x))=\frac{3x}{3}\\ \\g(f(x))=x

Hence proved!

Subtracting Fractions.<br><br> Fill in the blanks, and the tenth one is 4 2/3 + 7 7/10=
GrogVix [38]
Hello! Although I can't give you the answers automatically. I'll just show you some steps on how to subtract & if you're still not figuring it out just message me! :)

Step 1: You have to make sure both denominators are both exactly the same or you won't get the answer correctly.

Step 2: Then subtract the numerators

Step 3: Simplify if needed.

Ex; If I have 1/2 of the pizza and my friend has 1/6 of the pizza. What will be my result if I subtract the fractions?

We'll have to take 1/2 and 1/6. You'll have to find what makes those numbers, what I mean is by multiplying both numerators and denominators.

\frac{1}{2}  -  \frac{1}{6}  =
You multiply by 3.
2 x 3 = 6

Then you'll change the denominator into 1/2 = 1/6

Result:
\frac{3}{6}  -    \frac{1}{6}  =
Then you just subtract.
3 - 1 = 2

Hint: Denominator never changes when you have your final result. So it's 2/6. It needs to be simplified.

\frac{2}{6}  \div  \frac{1}{3}
We divide by 2.

I hope this example helped you understand how to subtract fractions & if you don't know how to add mixed fractions you can always do around the world or other examples your teacher can provide! :)

Consider the equation:-3+x=n. If n is positive, what must be true about x? Explain your answer? Include a possible value of x in
Julli [10]

Answer:

X must be a number more than 3

X could be 5

Step-by-step explanation:

If x was 5, -3+5 would equal 2. This is a positive number.

If we said that X was a negative number such as -4, it would not work because -3-4=-7. That means that X equals -7. This is not a valid answer as it is a negative number.

This was just a guess, please check.

What is the awnser please
Scilla [17]
The root (zero) of this problem is A., x =5 only.
Substitute f(x)=0

0=x^2 - 10x + 25

Solve for x.

x = 5.
