Ethanol is used in some after-shave lotions and deodourants. What properties makes it suitable for these uses?
AleksAgata [21]

Answer:

Its ability to denature bacterial proteins

Explanation:

Ethanol is a rapid antimicrobial against bacteria, fungi and viruses. When 70% concentrated Ethanol is in contact with a single celled organism, the it coagulates the protein at a slower rate, creating enough time for it to penetrate the cell before coagulation can block it.This will make the whole cell coagulated thus killing the cell.

The density of honey is 1.42 g/mL. If you poured honey into a glass of water, would it sink to the bottom or float on top? Expla
m_a_m_a [10]

Answer:

The honey would sink to the bottom

Explanation:

A simple interpretation of Archimedes' principle is that, in water, the bodys with density lower than that of water will float on top of the water (That is, density <1g/mL). In the other way, a body with density higher than that of water will sink to the bottom.

As density of honey is higher than density of water:

The honey would sink to the bottom

What is the daughter nucleus (nuclide) produced when 90sr undergoes beta decay by emitting an electron? replace each question ma
Mars2501 [29]
Beta decay by emitting an electron is called as β⁻ decay. when this happens, a neutron of the element converts into a proton by emitting an electron. Hence, the mass of daughter nucleus is same as parent atom but atomic number/number of protons is higher by 1 than atomic number of parent atom.

Sr has atomic number as 38.

After β⁻ decay, the daughter nucleus will have atomic number as 38 + 1 = 39.
Hence, the daughter nucleus should be Y (Yttrium). Formula is,

₃₈⁹⁰Sr → ₃₉⁹⁰Y + ₋₁⁰β + energy
