The distance (d) traveled by the airplane is the product of multiplying the speed (s) and the trip took (h). The equation is shown below,
                                           d = s x h
Substitute the known values to the equation,
                                       637.5 miles = (150 mile/ hour) x h
Manipulating the equation,
                                       h = (637.5 miles) / (150 mile/ hr)
h is equal to 4.25 hours.

Grains of sand are very small, there being about 3000 grains in one cubic centimeter (cm3) of sand. A cm3 is a small cube measur
Anastasy [175]

Answer:

The value is x =  3.000 * 10^9 \  grains

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question we are told that

      1m^3 = 10^6 cm^3

And that

     3000 \  grains \ of \  sand  \  is  \ in \  1cm^3

So the number of sand grain that is in 1m^3 is mathematically evaluated as

      x =  3000 * 10^6 \  grains

=>  x =  3.000 * 10^9 \  grains

The volume of a cylinder is 156 x cm3. What is the volume of a cone with the same base and height as the cylinder?
Flura [38]

Answer: SECOND OPTION (52 cm³)

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for calculate the volume of a cone is:

V{co}=\frac{1}{3}r^{2}h\pi

Where r is the radius and h is the height.

 The formula for calculate the volume of a cylinder is:

V{cy}=r^{2}h\pi

Where r is the radius and h is the height.

As you can see, the difference between the the formulas is that r²hπ of the cone is divided by 3. Therefore, if you know the volume of the cylinder and you know that the cone has the same base and height as the cylinder, you have to divide the volume of the cylinder by 3 to obtain the volume of the cone.

Therefore, the result is:

V{co}=\frac{156cm^3}{3}=52cm^3
