<h2>Hello!</h2>

The answer is: The starting materials in a chemical reaction are called reactants... or can be called reagents too.

<h2>Why?</h2>

The principal component in a chemical reaction are the reactants, after the reaction, we have the products and we could have reactants too (if they are not completed consumed).

For example, given the following reaction:

2C2H6+7O2 = 4CO2 + 6H2O

Reactants are: 2C2H6 and 7O2

Products are: 4CO2 and 6H2O

Have a nice day!

PLEASE HELP ME<br><br> what would be the mass of 9.03 x 1021 molecules of hydrobromic acid (HBr)?
Nikitich [7]

We know 1 mole of any atom or molecules contains 6.033 \times 10^{23} atom or molecules.

1 mole of HBr i.e 81 gm/mol contains  6.033 \times 10^{23} atom or molecules.

So, mass of 9.03\times 10^{21} molecules is :

m=\dfrac{81\times 9.03\times 10^{21} }{6.033 \times 10^{23}}\\\\m= 1.21\ gm

Therefore, mass of  9.03\times 10^{21} molecules is 1.21 gm .

Hence, this is the required solution.

How is an electrons energy related to its position in an atom?
balu736 [363]

Answer: The amount of energy needed to move an electron from one zone to another is a fixed, finite amount. The electron with its extra packet of energy becomes excited, and promptly moves out of its lower energy level and takes up a position in a higher energy level.
