Answer:

True

Explanation:

The latter studies truly showed that some factors other than genetic predisposition play a role in obesity.

The composition of the genome of an individual might predispose such individual to a higher risk of being obese. However, that such individual will become obese depends on some other factors, the most important being the kind of lifestyle the individual lives.

A lifestyle such as eating foods high in fat content, not eating adequate fruits, not eating eating adequate vegetables and drinking a lot of alcohol can cause someone to be obese apart from genetic predisposition.

What would be the effect of damage to the auditory association area in the left hemisphere?
Lelechka [254]
The effect of damage to the auditory association area in the left hemisphere is inability to understand what is heard. Language, the ability to communicate with words is a peculiarly human ability and possibly originates from certain specialized areas of the cortex on the left hemisphere. A sharp blow on the left of the head might result in an inability to understand or produce he spoken word or make grammatically complex sentence whereas a blown on the right would not. Speech consists almost entirely of content words. Some specific areas are seem associated with specific memories or behaviors while the left and right sides appear to have grossly the same topography and internal anatomy for some functions the left side seems to dominate the right.
