A1 = first term = 8

<u>Plug in a1 = 8:</u>
an = 8 + (n - 1)d

<u>FInd d:</u>
Given that a2 = 5
5 = 8 + (2-1)d
5 = 8 + d
d = -3

<u>Plug in d = -3:</u>
an = 8 -3(n - 1)

Answer: an = 8 -3(n - 1) ; <span>n ≥ 1</span>

I figured out the first question, the second one in lost on.

\frac{(6-x)}{x^2+3x-28} / \frac{x^2-36}{x^2+5x-36}

Factor both of the equations, numerator and denominator

\frac{(6-x)}{(x+7)(x-4)}*  \frac{(x+6)(x-6)}{(x+9)(x-4)}

Cancel the like factors *excuse the zero im just showing you*

\frac{(0)}{(x+7)} *\frac{(x+6)}{(x-9)}

Combine frunctions

\frac{(6+x)}{(x-9)(x+7)}

x-9=0
x+7=0

Restrictions are 9 and -7

I will mark you brainliest if its correctly
zheka24 [161]

Step-by-step explanation:

sina = -√3/2

\cos(a)  =   \sqrt{1 -  { \sin(a) }^{2} }

=  \sqrt{1 -  { (\frac{  - \sqrt{ 3} }{2}) }^{2} }

=  \sqrt{ \frac{4 - 3}{4} }

=  \sqrt{ \frac{1}{4} }

=±1/2

Since, π<a<3π/2

cos a = -1/2

\tan(a )=  \frac{ \sin(a) }{ \cos(a) }

\tan(a )  =  \sqrt{3}

What is the equation of a line, in Slope Intercept Form, with a slope of 1/3 and passes through the point (9, 7)?
levacccp [35]

The slope-intercept form:

y=mx+b

m - slope

b - y-intercept

We have the slope m=\dfrac{1}{3}\to y=\dfrac{1}{3}x+b

and point (9, 7). Substitute:

7=\dfrac{1}{3}(9)+b

7=3+b      <em>subtract 3 from both sides</em>

4=b\to b=4

Answer: y=\dfrac{1}{3}x+4
