e tries to decide where it will be most convenient to stop. she could go to the large discount store, which would give her the best price, but the lines are usually long after work. there are a couple of convenience stores on her route, but she isn't certain they will have her cat's brand. the grocery store is no better than the discount store after work. she settles on one of the drug store chains that also has just about everything. it is larger than the convenience stores, but never as crowded as the grocery store or discount store. in terms of consumer behavior, _____________ influences have guided lauren's decision.

I would say that convenience is the main thing that guided her decision in these circumstances as she wants to avoid long line-ups after being tired from a day at work but also availability also guided her as she avoided the convenience store as they may not have what she wants.

May a broker subtract desk expenses from an independent contractor's commission check?

Sales representatives and brokers should work under a signed labor agreement that may or may not permit broker deductions.

How Do Brokers Work?

A broker is a person or business that stands between a potential investor and a securities exchange. Individual traders and investors require the services of exchange members since securities exchanges only accept orders from people or companies who are members of that exchange.

Brokers offer that service and are paid in a variety of methods, including commissions, fees, or payments from the exchange itself. To assist investors in deciding which broker is best for them, Investopedia routinely examines all of the major brokers and keeps a list of the top online brokers and trading platforms.

An industry consists of three firms with sales of $355,000, $825,000, and $435,000.
iogann1982 [59]

Answer:

Calculating Herfindahl-Hirschman Index and Four-Firm Concentration Ratio:

a. Herfindahl-Hirschman index (HHI) = 3,814

b. The four-firm concentration ratio (C4) = 1

c. If the two firms with sales of $355,000 and $435,000 merged, the resulting HHI would increase by 1,723 to 5,537.  The post-merger HHI now exceeds that allowed under the Guidelines (2,500). The increase in HHI is more than that permitted under the Guidelines (200), the merger is likely to be blocked by the Department of Justice.

Explanation:

a) Data and Calculations:

Sales of three firms in an industry:

                            Sales          Industry Share

Firm A sales = $355,000        22% ($355,000/$1,615,000 * 100)

Firm B sales =   825,000         51% ($825,000/$1,615,000 * 100)

Firm C sales =   435,000        27% ($435,000/$1,615,000 * 100)

Total sales =  $1,615,000

Herfindahl-Hirschman index (HHI) = 3,814 (22² + 51² + 27²)

Four-firm concentration ratio (C4) = Sales of the four largest firms/Industry sales = $1,615,000/$1,615,000

If the two firms with sales of $355,000 and $435,000 were to merge, the new Herfindahl-Hirschman index (HHI) = 5,537(49² + 51²)

Increase in HHI as a result of the merger = 1,723

On January 1, 2019, Park Company accepted a $36,000, non-interest-bearing, 3-year note from a major customer in exchange for use
Darya [45]

Answer:

$28,560

Explanation:

Calculation for the carrying value of the note receivable on Park’s December 31, 2019, balance sheet

Using this formula

Carrying value of note receivable =Present value of the note +(Imputed interest rate ×Present value of the note )

Let plug in the formula

Carrying value of note receivable=$25,500+(12%×$25,500)

Carrying value of note receivable=$25,500+$3,060

Carrying value of note receivable=$28,560

Therefore the carrying value of the note receivable on Park’s December 31, 2019, balance sheet will be $28,560
