Answer:

Option A is right

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that approximately 52% of all recent births were boys. In a simple random sample of 100 recent births, 49 were boys and 51 were girls. The most likely explanation for the difference between the observed results and the expected results in this case is

A) variability due to sampling

-- True because there is a slight difference whichmay be due to sampling fluctuations.

B) bias

False because given that 100 random births selected

C) nonsampling error

False.  There is no chance for systematic error here.

d) Confounding:  There is no confounding variable present inchild birth since each is independent of the other

Help with 9 and 10 and show your work plz and thanks
worty [1.4K]
For number 9 you have to convert from fraction to precent, the way i do this is by multiplying my denominator by a variable to get 100.
in this instance my denominator is 5 so 5x=100 in this case we are multiplying by 20. so 1(20)=20. it is important to recognize that 1/5 is equal to 20/100. now that we have an equivilent fraction we can use the numerator to be our precent. so the answer is A.20%

for number 10 we use the same idea. we know that 20 percent of people are for the visiting team so the rest of the pie chart would mean 80 percent of people were for the home team. We take the total number of people  which is 64,000 and multiply our 80 percent, so we move the decimal
 64,000(.80)=51200
so the answer for 10 is D.51200
