They have a greater amount of solar energy, which produces more evaporation than higher latitudes. That warm air rises and eventually condenses into clouds and thunderstorms.

So, the hot and moist air rises and condensed into thunderstorm and clouds and fall back as rain on earth.

Because of that the tropics get more rainfall than other places on earth.
