Add all the numbers in the data set to get 55. them divide by 5 to get 11, which is the average or the mean. then find the deviation of each number in the data set. in other words, subtract the mean from each number in the data set.
so, for the
1st #--> 1
2nd #--> 6
3rd #--> 1
4th #--> 3
5th #--> 5
add all these numbers up to get 16 and then divide it by 5 to get 3.2 as the mean absolute deviation.

Hope this helped :-)

Suppose that daycare costs are normally distributed with a mean equal to $10,000 a year and a standard deviation equal to $2,000
notka56 [123]

Answer:

50%, 68.26%, 95.54%

Step-by-step explanation:

Let X be the day care costs

X is N(10000, 2000)

Since normal distribution is symmetrical about the mean we get

above 10000, exactly 50% of day care cost would be .

Between 8000 and 12000,

=P(8000

Between 6000 and 14000

P(6000%

Cassidy says that the capacity is the same as the amount. Do you agree explain why or why not.
Zinaida [17]
No, it's not the same thing. Capacity is how much one thing can hold, and amount is the quantity of something. They're similar, but different.

What is the distance from (−3, 1) to (−1, 5)? Round your answer to the nearest hundredth
LUCKY_DIMON [66]

Answer:

<h2>4.46</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula of a distance between two points:

d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

We have (-3, 1) and (-1, 5). Substitute:

d=\sqrt{(-1-(-3))^2+(5-1)^2}=\sqrt{2^2+4^2}=\sqrt{4+16}=\sqrt{20}\\\\=\sqrt{4\cdot5}=\sqrt4\cdot\sqrt5=2\sqrt5\approx2\cdot2.23=4.46
