SITUACION PROBLEMÁTICA 2
oee [108]

Answer: We need to support her work for at least 15 days.

Step-by-step explanation:

Juana's mother receives a daily payment of 30 soles .

She has already 120 soles.

Let x = Number of days to save at least 550 soles.

Then, Total she has after x days = 120+30x

According to the question, we have

120+30x \geq 550\\\\\Rightarrow\ 30x\geq550-120\\\\\Rightarrow\ 30x\geq430\\\\\Rightarrow\ x\geq\dfrac{430}{30}\\\\\Rightarrow\ x\geq14.33

i.e. minimum value for x=15

Hence, we need to support her work for at least 15 days.

Round to the nearest hundreds place<br> Show your work<br> 4x = 7 - 8x - 27
faltersainse [42]

Answer:

x = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

4x = 7 - 8x - 27

1) Combine like terms (7 and -27). So, 7 + (-27) = -20.

        4x = 8x - 20

2) Subtract 8x from both sides of the equation. So, 4x - 8x = -4x.

        -4x = -20

3) Divide both sides by -4. So, -20 / -4 = 5.

        x = 5

NeX [460]

Answer: weight of elephant has smaller percent error.

Step-by-step explanation:

Percent error = \dfrac{|\text{estimated value -actual value}|}{\text{actual value}}]\times100

Estimated weight of elephant  =  10,000 pounds

Actual weight of elephant = 12,400 pounds

Percent error of weight = \dfrac{|12400-10000|}{12400}\times100\%\approx19.35\%

Estimated weight of hippopotamus  =  2,500 pounds

Actual weight of hippopotamus = 3,600 pounds

Percent error of weight = \dfrac{|2500-3600|}{3600}\times100\%\approx30.55\%

Since 19.35 < 30.55

hence, weight of elephant has smaller percent error.
