Vasectomy is a permanent method of birth control which is done by tying vas deferens in males.

Further Explanation:

Vasectomy is minor operation a man undergoes to avoid pregnancy. It blocks sperm from reaching to semen. After this procedure the testes still produce sperm but they are not able to enter into the semen and after sometime these sperm get soaked up through scrotum by the body. Vasectomy is the best method to prevent pregnancy than any other method to control birth rate.

The term vasectomy is derived from the tube vas deferens through which sperm enter into semen and this is the tube that is blocked during the procedure. This procedure comes under male birth control. It is performed by cutting the small tube called vas deferens that attach scrotum to testis and sealed it by stitching.

It’s an irreversible process and has very low level of risk that can be treated such as inflammation, slight bleeding, swelling and bruises. After vasectomy the semen still contain sperm for at least three months and after that a small test is performed to make sure the absence of sperm from semen.
