Primary Biliary Cirrhosis (PBC) usually has little or no symptoms in its early stages. Some of the earliest symptoms include:

Dry eyes

Dry Mouth

Easy Bruising

Fatigue

Itching

Weakness

Explanation:

PBC is a progressive disease autoimmune disease. The disease makes your body immune system recognize your liver tissues as harmful foreign invaders and in return attacks and destroys them. The exact cause of the disease has not been ascertained but it is speculated to be as a result of a combination of physical, environmental and genetic factors.

Patients usually have no symptoms in the early stages and it is usually diagnosed during a routine blood test showing abnormal liver readings. The disease is more common in females than in males
