The repetition of the line “Of the beautiful Annabel Lee” in the poem "Annabel Lee” emphasizes the narrator’s love for Annabel Lee.

The poet possesses a totally different view about death altogether. Even after losing her wife he feels that though he has lost her by her body, but their soul will ever be separated from each other. He understands that death is inevitable. It will happen to everyone some or the other day. Though in great pain and distress he still finds himself falling for Annabel. The moon, the stars and the world around him make him feel the presence and the beauty of Annabel. Poe not just succeeds in making the reader feel his emotions but also creates a world in the minds of his readers that love has that potential which can even beat the harshness of death.

The repetition of the words “sea,” “Lee” and “me” not just sets the mood of the poem by giving a form of musical arena but also focuses on the important aspects too. The poet, his beloved wife Annabel and the sea are the three main subject around whom the whole poem evolves. In his deep grief, the poet lays near the sea remembering his wife and finding her beauty in the nature.

Transitions should not be used:
lesya692 [45]

Answer:

Transitions are these words:

A is not the answer because transitions should be used to connect the steps of a process. That’s the whole purpose of them.

A clincher sentence is a summary sentence. Using transitions for a summary isnt exactly ideal, although sometimes certain instances require the use of transitions. I’m honestly not sure if that answer is correct or not.

Transitions are used to connect important ideas.

Transitions don’t exactly have to be used in the second sentence of every paragraph. Sometimes, a paragraph contains sentences that are related but don’t need to be connected.

So it’s between B. and D.

I’m more inclined to choose B, but I’m not sure.

Sorry if its wrong.

In at least 100 words, describe how and why Dickinson's "Because I could not stop for Death" is structured as an arc.
suter [353]

It is an arc because it evokes the life cycle of a human being with a beginning, a middle and an end. The first stanza describes how daily routines and projects distract us from our own mortality. We keep ourselves busy to the point that we are able to forget it or at least not think about it. Such interpretation is confirmed by the second stanza were the narrator informs the reader that when she is taken by Death she was forced byt its inevitability to “put away her labor and her leisure”.

The fact that the third stanza speaks about a children school symbolizes the first stage in a person’s life, childhood. The fields of Gazing grain symbolize adulthood since if you follow the symbolism of the metaphor; human beings sow the seeds of their life during childhood and harvest them during adulthood and then the Sun sets, a clear symbolism of death, when the sun sets on a person’s life for the last time.

The end of such journey is the “house that seemed and dwelling of the ground” in other words, our tomb. However, this is not the end of our journey, only the end of our earthly life since the fifth stanza clearly allegorizes the continuation of the soul into “eternity”. Therefore, such arc is an arc of hope.
