Hiya there!

If the recipe provided says that we need two cups for three gallons of punch, then you need 2/3 of a cup for one gallon.

I know this because if you add 2/3+2/3+2/3 (or multiply 2/3×3), you get the whole integer 3.

If you found this especially helpful, I'd appreciate if you'd vote me Brainliest for your answer, if other people did not provide a helpful answer (but, I'm sure they did!). I want to be able to assist more users one-on-one! :)

You borrow $1000 at 6% simple interest for a year how much do you have to pay back?
Rainbow [258]

Answer:150

Step-by-step explanation:

So every year the interest will be $1000 * 5 / 100 = $50. That is, after 3 years 3 * $50 = $ 150. Simple interest does not take into account the reduction of the principal but calculates the interest over the same initial amount, in this case $1000. So, the answer is $150, which is the result of $50 times 3.

A direct variation function contains the points (-8, -6) and (12,9). Which equation represents the function?
bezimeni [28]

Answer:

y = \frac{3}{4} x

Step-by-step explanation:

Each point is (x,y). So to find the equation, substitute both points into the given choices.

To test the first choice: y = -\frac{4}{3}x substitute -8 into x and -6 into y

-6 = -(\frac{4}{3})(-8)

-6(3) = (-4)(-8)

-18 ≠ 32

Since the numbers are not equal this is not the correct equation. Move on to testing the next equation in the same manner.

The third equation y = \frac{3}{4}x satisfies both points

Test for point (-8,-6)

-6 = (\frac{3}{4})(-8)

-6(4) = (3)(-8)

-24 = -24

Test for point (12,9)

9 = (\frac{3}{4})(12)

9(4) = (3)(12)

36 = 36

Ok, I'm going to do this question again. Can someone PLEASE help me. This is due and I need to get it done. Answer it right plea

The independent variable would be the one that could stand alone. So which one makes more sense? The amount of trips depends on how many buckets there are or the amount of buckets depends on the amount of trips?

Since the amount of trips DEPENDS on the amount of buckets... the amount of trips is the dependent and the buckets is the independent. so since there are 2 buckets carried up to hill for 1 trip, the first row on the table should look like this

2 1 (2,1)

So how many buckets would be on the hill after the second trip?

Well there are 2 more and 2 + 2 is 4. 2 trips = 4 buckets. So the next row would look like this

4. 2. (4,2)

Then u just keep going. Hint: Independent variable is counting by twos and dependent variable is counting by one's.

Then you graph the ordered pairs.

Hope this helped :)
