W=7
If I=12 and P=38 then you'd write
2*12+2w=38
2*12=24
38-24=14
14 divided by 2 =7
so w=7

W= 7

38=2w+2(12)

38=2w + 24
-24        -24

14=2w
divid by 2    divid by 2

7=w

Remember
(a^b)^c=a^{bc}
and
\frac{x^a}{x^b}=x^{a-b}

so

\frac{(7^2)^5}{7^{-6}}=
\frac{7^{2*5}}{7^{-6}}=
\frac{7^{10}}{7^{-6}}=
7^{10-(-6)}=
7^{10+6}=
7^{16}

the answer is D

Sally opens a bank account with $500. The account accrues 5% interest compounded annually.
Yuri [45]
500 x 1.05^4

it's 4 periods because the interest rate is compounded yearly. 5 percent yearly increase is equal to P x 1.05

Find sin2a if sina=3/5 and a is in quadrant 2
LenKa [72]
Sin(a)= \frac{3}{5}

To find sin(2a) = 2*sin(a)*cos(a), we ned to find cos(a)

We know that,

sin²(a) + cos²(a) = 1

cos(a) = \sqrt{( 1- sin^2 a)}

cos(a) = \sqrt{1- ( \frac{3}{5} )^2} =  \sqrt{1-  \frac{9}{25}} =  \sqrt{ \frac{16}{25}} =  \frac{4}{5}

Thus, cos(a) = +- \frac{4}{5}

We know a is in second quadrant and thus cos(a) is -\frac{4}{5} because cosine is always negative in the second quadrant.

Therefore,

sin(2a) = 2*sin(a)*cos(a) = 2* \frac{3}{5} * \frac{-4}{5} =  \frac{-24}{25}
