Your problem is missing the units after the numbers. It could be 4 cents and 32 cents, 4 dollars and 32 dollars, 4 cents and 32 dollars, 4 dollars and 32 cents, etc.

Assuming both are in dollars:

32 / 4 = 8

Deshaun can buy 8 pounds of candy.

Which fraction is bigger 7/8 or 13/15
slamgirl [31]

Answer:

7/8

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Change the denominators so that they are the same for both fractions

7/8 x 15 = 105/120

13/15 x 8 = 104/120

Step 2: Compare

104/120 < 105/120 = 13/15 < 7/8

Write an equation system based on the problem
We can write the equation for "Twice the price in Japan minus five times the price in India is $20.60" as
∴ 2j - 5i = 20.6 (first equation)
We can write the equation for "Thirty cents less than three times the lowest price is thirty cents" as
∴ 3i - 0.30 = 0.30 (second equation)

Solve the equations
First, solve the second equation to find the price in India
3i - 0.3 = 0.3
3i = 0.3 + 0.3
3i = 0.6
 i = 0.6/3
 i = 0.2

Second, solve the first equation by subtitution of the value of i to the equation
2j - 5i = 20.6
2j - 5(0.2) = 20.6
2j - 1 = 20.6
2j = 20.6 + 1
2j = 21.6
 j = 21.6/2
 j = 10.8

The price in India is $0.20 and the price in Japan is $10.80

-104=-2(1+7x)-4 answer
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Add 4 to both sides

-104 + 4 = -2(1 + 7x)

Simplify -104 + 4 to -100

-100 = -2(1 + 7x)

Divide both sides by -2

-100/-2 = 1 + 7x

Two negatives make a positive

100/2 = 1 + 7x

Simplify 100/2 to 50

50 = 1 + 7x

Subtract 1 from both sides

50 - 1 = 7x

Simplify 50 - 1 to 49

49 = 7x

Divide both sides by 7

49/7 = x

Simplify 49/7 to 7

Switch sides

Answer: x = 7

pav-90 [236]

Answer:

width is 30-22 = 8 feet

George would need 76 feet of fencing for the dog run

Step-by-step explanation:

30 x (30-x) = 240

30-x = 8

-x = -22

x = 22

Therefore width is 30-22 = 8 feet

8+8+30+30 = 76

Thus, George would need 76 feet of fencing for the dog run
