(x - 2)^2=49\\ \\ x^2-4x +4 -49=0\\ \\x^2-4x -45 = 0\\ \\\Delta = b^{2}-4ac =  (-4)^{2}-4*1* (-45)= 16+180=196  \\ \\x_{1}=\frac{-b-\sqrt{\Delta }}{2a} =\frac{4-\sqrt{196}}{2}=\frac{4-14}{2}=\frac{-10}{2}=-5 \\ \\x_{2}=\frac{-b+\sqrt{\Delta }}{2a} =\frac{4+\sqrt{196}}{2}=\frac{4+14}{2}=\frac{18}{2}=9 \\ \\Answer : \ x=-5 \ or \ x= 9

(x-2)(x-2)
x^2   -2x   -2x  +4    =49  (-49 from both sides)
X^2-4x-45
(x+5)(x-9)
x=-5, x=9

3. (6 Points). Solve the initial value problem y'-y.cosx=0, y(pi/2)=2e
Stells [14]

Answer:

y=2e^{sin(x)}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given equation can be  re written as

\frac{\mathrm{d} y}{\mathrm{d} x}-ycos(x)=0\\\frac{\mathrm{d} y}{\mathrm{d} x}=ycos(x)\\\\=> \frac{dy}{y}=cox(x)dx\\\\Integrating  \\ \int \frac{dy}{y}=\int cos(x)dx \\\\ln(y)=sin(x)+c............(i)

Now it is given that y(π/2) = 2e

Applying value in (i) we get

ln(2e) = sin(π/2) + c

=> ln(2) + ln(e) = 1+c

=> ln(2) + 1 = 1 + c

=> c = ln(2)

Thus equation (i) becomes

ln(y) = sin(x) + ln(2)

ln(y) - ln(2) = sin(x)

ln(y/2) = sin(x)

y= 2e^{sinx}

Find the value of this fraction 6 x 1/2 + 2/3 + 3/4
kodGreya [7K]

Answer:

\frac{53}{12} or 4 \frac{5}{12}

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{6}{1}  \times  \frac{1}{2}  = 3

\frac{3}{1}  +  \frac{2}{3}  +  \frac{3}{4}  = ...

Find the common denominator, which is 12

\frac{36}{12}  +  \frac{8}{12}  +  \frac{9}{12}  =

Now add them

\frac{36}{12}   +  \frac{8}{12}  =  \frac{44}{12}  +  \frac{9}{12}  =  \frac{53}{12}

Simplified version is

4 \frac{5}{12}
