Since the area of the walkway is not given, it's substitution in the answer is x. You do have the measurements of the pool though. Area=length times width. 36 times 18 is 648. The area of the concrete is x-648 ft, because the pool is not apart of the concrete. The area of the walkway can be expressed by X-648 ft.

<em>" Expected Payoff " ⇒ $ 1.56 ; Type in 1.56</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the steps below;

Tickets That Can Be Entered - 1 Ticket,\\Total Tickets Entered - 1000 Tickets,\\\\Proportion - 1 / 1000,\\Money One ( First Ticket ) = 820 Dollars,\\Money One ( Second Ticket ) = 740 Dollars,\\\\Proportionality ( First ) - 1 / 1000 = x / 820,\\Proportionality ( Second ) - 1 / 1000 = x / 740\\\\1 / 1000 = x / 820,\\1000 * x = 820,\\x = 820 / 1000,\\x = 0.82,\\\\1 / 1000 = x / 740,\\1000 * x = 740,\\x = 740 / 1000,\\x = 0.74\\\\Conclusion ; " Expected Payoff " = 0.82 + 0.74 = 1.56

<em>Solution; " Expected Payoff " ⇒ $ 1.56</em>

It costs a baker 2x + 30 dollars to bake x muffins a day. Each muffin is sold for 5 dollars. How many muffins would the baker ne
Svetradugi [14.3K]

Answer:

X = 10

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation to use would be; 2x + 30 = 5x; because the baker is looking for enough to cover the costs, no more no less.

Then all you have to do is solve for the equation.

2x + 30 = 5x

Subtract 2x from each side

30 = 3x

Divide by 3

10 = x

The baker needs to sell 10 muffins in a day to make enough to cover the revenue.

Mr. Lopez has 238 silver coins in his coin collection. The actual weight of the real silver in each coin is 0.85 ounce. How many
NNADVOKAT [17]

Answer:

202.3 ounces of real silver

Step-by-step explanation:

Another example would be like pizza. If there are 6 slices of pizza in each box, then 2 boxes of pizza would have 6 + 6 slices = 12 slices. It is 6 slices each * 2 boxes = 12 slices total. The same applies to the coin situation, for every additional coin, multiply 0.85 by the number of coins to get the total weight of real silver.

If there are 238 silver coins, then you have 238 0.85 ounces of real silver. Multiplying 238 by 0.85 to simplify gives you 202.3 ounces of real silver.
