Epistolary is a literate genre in which writers tell the story mainly with letters. We can see letters only from one character, an interchange between two characters or the correspondance between two or more characters describing the events and their feelings. This genre became very popular in the 18th century, the most famous works are Dracula by Bram Stoker and Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. As technology has evolved and times changed, epistolary novels had to adapt, there are new ways of writing them, including e-mails or text messages.
