Answer:

True

Explanation:

During mitosis, replicated chromosomes are aligned in the equitorial plate of the cell i.e. near the middle of the cell. It happens in metaphase of mitosis. As soon as they align in the middle of the cell, anaphase starts in which they begin to separate from each other due to the formation of spindle fibres which attach themselves to the kinetochore protein of each sister chromatid. After attachment, the spindle fibres start shortening as a result of which the sister chromatids get segregated to reach the opposite poles. After the completion of telophase and cytokinesis, segregated sister chromatids form the genetic material of each daughter cell.

How do I compare and contrast light dependent and light independent
djverab [1.8K]
In light-dependent reactions, the energy from sunlight is absorbed by chlorophyll and converted into chemical energy in the form of electron carrier molecules like ATP and NADPH.Light energy is harnessed in Photosystems I and II, both of which are present in the thylakoid membranes of chloroplasts.In light-independent reactions (the Calvin cycle), carbohydrate molecules are assembled from carbon dioxide using the chemical energy harvested during the light-dependent reactions.

TERM[ edit ]
