Evaluate the function f (x)  4 • 7x for x  1 and x = 2. Show your work

The function and the first value stated for x are confusing.

Doing some research, I found that the problem is to evaluate the function   $f(x)=4.7^x$    for x = - 1 and x  2.

The solution is:

1) For x = - 1

$f(-1)=4. 7^{-1} =4. (1/7)=4/7$

2) For x = 2

$f(2)=4.7^2=4(49)=196$
