Set 7b as a common factor and put it outside the parentheses:
7b(x+y)

Check:
7b(x+y)
Distribute the 7b
7bx+7by

Hope this helps.

First you have to find the common factors of the two,

there are two 7 on both sides. so 7 is a common factor.

there are two bs on both sides, so b is also a common factor.

there is only one x in it, so x is not a common factor.

there is only one y in it, so y is not a common factor.

so the common factors are 7 and b.
so 7b should be on the left side of the brackets,

7b(?)

inside should be the numbers or algebra which wasn't an common factor, so it should be (x+y)

if we put this together it will be,
7b(x+y)

answer= 7b(x+y)

Which explains why the graph is not a function?

The statements that apply to the ratio of rice and water are:

  • The ratio of rice to water is 1 to 2.5
  • The ratio of water to rice is 2.5 to 1

<h3>Ratios</h3>

Ratios are used to compare quantities of different measurements

The entries on the table are given as:

<u>Rice          Water</u>

2                  5

3                  7.5

5                 12.5

8                 20

<h3>The ratios of both quantities</h3>

The ratio (r) of rice and water is then calculated as:

r = \frac{Water}{Rice}

Pick any corresponding table entry.

So, we have:

r = \frac{5}{2}

Divide

r = 2.5

This means that, the ratio of rice to water is 1 to 2.5, and the ratio of water to rice is 2.5 to 1

Determine whether f(x)=5x+1/x and g(x)= x/5x+1 are inverse functions. Explain how you know.
vladimir1956 [14]
A property of inverse functions is that if f(x) = a, g(a) = x

F(x) = (5x+1)/x
G(x) = x/(5x+1)

Plug in x = 3.
F(3) = 16/3
G(16/3) = 16/83. Since it doesn’t equal 3, it’s not an inverse function

Noor rode her bike two fifth mile in one twelfth hour. At this rate, how far would Noor ride her bike in 1 hour?
Liula [17]
2/5 in 1/12 of an hour

x in 1 hour

So multiply 12 to both fractions

2/5 x 12 in 1/12 x 12 of an hour

We get now:

24/5 in 1 hour

or:

4 4/5 in 1 hour
