If the integers a and n are greater than 1 and the product of the first 8 positive integers is a multiple of a^n, what is the va
daser333 [38]

Answer:

a=2

Step-by-step explanation:

Well, first let us find product of the first 8 positive integers, which is 1*2*3*4*5*6*7*8=40320. It can also be written as 40320=2^{7}*3²*5*7. From the formula above, it can be extracted that if a=2, n can be any number from 3 to 7 (considering that a and n are not equal and greater than 1).

In (1) a^n=64 and in (2) n=6 so it can be written as 2^6=64 so a=2 and n=6. So the value of a is 2. a=2

the probability of a certain baseball player hitting a foul ball is 1/4. how many foul balls would you expect her to hit after 8
Travka [436]
Probability is 1/4, so all you have to do is multiply 80 by 1/4, which equals 20.

So, she will likely hit 20 foul balls.

kondor19780726 [428]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

Take the total amount needed and subtract the amount they have

190.44 -34.20

156.24

Divide by the number of weeks they are saving

156.24/8

19.53

They need to save more than this amount because they need to save more than 190.44.

There is an open circle at 19.53 and a line going to the right

Find the value of arc AD
LenaWriter [7]
So hmmm if we use the "intersecting chords theorem", the angle of 93°, is really 1/2 * (arcBC + arcAD)

thus \bf 93=\cfrac{1}{2}(\widehat{BC}+\widehat{AD})\implies 93=\cfrac{161+\widehat{AD}}{2}
\\\\\\
186=161+\widehat{AD}\implies 186-161=\widehat{AD}

Is 0.06 bigger than 0.054
Elis [28]
To compare decimals, start by looking at the whole numbers (the number to the left of the decimal).  Since the number for both is zero, next move to the other side of the decimal, the tenths place.  Both numbers are still zero, so now move to the next place over, the hundredths place.  We have a 6 in the hundredths place for one of the numbers and a five in the hundredths place for the other one...  We can stop right there... 6 is greater than 5 so the number with the 6 in the hundredths place is the larger number.

0.06 > 0.054
