The area is 49 because the formula for finding the area of trapezoid is A=
((a+b)/2)h. Basically, you add the top and bottom bases and divide it by 2 then multiply it by the height.

There are 1 rectangle and 2 triangles.
The area of the rectangle is 5 x 7 =35
The are of the triangle is 7 x 2 = 14(1/2) = 7
There are 2 triangles, so 7 x 2 = 14

14 + 35 = 49

49 is your answer

Find the common ratio r for the given geometric sequence and find the next three terms.
34kurt

Answer:

The common ratio is -2

Next three terms are 18, -36, and 72

Step-by-step explanation:

The common ratio is -2 since each consecutive term is being multiplied by -2

The next three terms are -9(-2) = 18, 18(-2) = -36, and -36(-2) = 72
