The class has a lizard and a frog. The lizard eats the same number of insects each day. The frog also eats the same number of in

sects each day. On day one, the lizard eats fourteen insects and the frog eats ten insects. On day five, the lizard has eaten five times the number of insects he ate on day one. How many insects has the lizard eaten on day five? On what day will the frog have eaten the same number of insects the lizard ate on day five? Show all your mathematical thinking.

I remember these lol. Now, to find the amount the lizard ate on day five we just multiply the amount he eats, per day, by five. The work for this is 5x14=70. The frog eats 10 insects per day, so if we divide 70 by 10 we'll have the amount of days it will take for it to have eaten the same amount of insects the lizard ate on day five.

Question 1: 5x14=70
Question 2: 70/10=7
